Product Description: Recombinant Human Interleukin-18 is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Tyr37-Asp193 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus.
UniProt ID: Q14116
Species: Human
Expression System: Human Cells
Tag: C-6His
Predicted MW: 19.25 KDa
SDS-PAGE: 16 KDa, reducing conditions
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of 20mM PB,150mM NaCl,pH7.4.
Endotoxin Level: Less than 0.001 ng/µg (0.01 EU/µg) as determined by LAL test.
Activity: Measured in a cell proliferation assay using CTLL-2 mouse cytotoxic T cells. The ED50 for this effect is 40-200pg/ml.
Purity: >95%
Reconstitution: Always centrifuge tubes before opening.Do not mix by vortex or pipetting.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100μg/ml.
Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water.
Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
Stability and Storage: Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.
Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7°C for 2-7 days.
Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20°C for 3 months.

产品背景

Pro-inflammatory cytokine primarily involved in epithelial barrier repair, polarized T-helper 1 (Th1) cell and natural killer (NK) cell immune responses (PubMed:10653850).
Upon binding to IL18R1 and IL18RAP, forms a signaling ternary complex which activates NF-kappa-B, triggering synthesis of inflammatory mediators (PubMed:14528293, PubMed:25500532).
Synergizes with IL12/interleukin-12 to induce IFNG synthesis from T-helper 1 (Th1) cells and natural killer (NK) cells (PubMed:10653850).
Involved in transduction of inflammation downstream of pyroptosis: its mature form is specifically released in the extracellular milieu by passing through the gasdermin-D (GSDMD) pore (PubMed:33883744).
